NSDC, Airtel Payments Bank join hands to skill rural youths for financial sector jobs
The skill development programme is for imparting knowledge and skills for entry-level jobs to Rural Youths, such as business correspondents and field sales executives, in the financial services sector. The initiative will focus on the adoption of digital tools to drive online banking and digital financial services, because of the advancement of technology.
KPMG to lay off 200 employees in Britain
Multinational professional services firm, KPMG, will be slashing about 200 jobs in Britain amidst unprecedented fall in demand for professional services, due to the pandemic. The MNC will be laying off 100 people from its consulting business and another 100 employees providing back-office support across departments, including human resources, in the UK.
HCL to hire 15,000 from campus this year
HCL Technologies plans to hire 15,000 from campuses this fiscal, compared to 9,000 it hired last year, signalling a good deal pipeline. According to HCL head of HR, Apparao VV, hiring is based on two parameters, growth and backfilling. In the last quarter and in the current one, the attrition has come down significantly. This quarter, attrition has gone down to single digits, hence back-fill hiring will also be less.
