Indian Startups starts restoring salaries after pay cuts
Some Indian internet companies like Grofers and Zomato have begun rolling back the salary cuts effected during the lockdown. Others like e-commerce platform Snapdeal, which are now operating at pre-COVID-19 levels, have rolled out increments and reinstated bonuses.
Indeed told employees to work-from-home until July 2021
Indeed, an Austin-based job search engine has told thousands of its employees that it won’t require them to go into any of its offices before July 2021. Paul Wolfe, Indeed’s senior vice president of global human resources said during a media interaction that the pandemic is still impacting many countries around the world and many states in the U.S., and thus, they have made the decision that no employee will be required to return to any of our global offices before July of 2021.
10 per cent layoffs at IndiGo, Nearly 2000 impacted
IndiGo will lay off 10 per cent of its staff as the coronavirus pandemic has forced it to re-evaluate its “best-laid plans”, the airline’s CEO Ronojoy Dutta, said on Monday. He added that IndiGo had understood the gravity of the situation right at the start of this crisis as the country’s largest carrier fights with declining revenues due to the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.
