Q. How can startups keep themselves productive during this crisis?
A. A lot of people have been out of the recent markets because they require you to be online whereas, some are having a combination of being both offline and online. So, the most important thing is to get into an online mode of activity which includes new career opportunities available so that people are aware that you are available. This is the first part of being productive.
The second part of it is by going digital, which is the only way out now. Digital includes the whole team to interact with each other from marketing to sales to customer service to handling complaints to servicing people. All this has to a part of your digital platform, ensure that the users are also benefited by the service you are providing.
Q. What are some of the job opportunities that you think will evolve over the years?
A. Huge Opportunities are there, depending on what market you are looking for. Now if you talk about, sales marketing- you have, digital marketing and other areas, opening phenomenally. However, when you look like at the technical side of things, a whole of platforms and technologies opened up today. You have to be updated with the latest technologies to be working in the market. These technologies are going to enable you to move faster, from talent acquisition to acquiring clients. So all this will require you to be aware of the latest technologies in the market.
Q. From a Corporate trainer to a startup enabler to an HR enthusiast and finally a Sportsperson, you have a lot of vivid characters. How do you manage to do everything?
A. I wouldn’t say that too many areas, but more focused on people’s space. So people interaction would be there. Now when I say executive level, it will be more coaching type of instructor which is required. When I look at the student’s segment it would be more training initiative which is required. For startups, it is more about giving them ideas and about how to work around with people.
Physically when I talk about corporates, it’s a challenge today when you are working remotely and the biggest challenge is that you have to work in teams. For that, you need to know how to engage with the team and what are the parameters which come under that. When I talk about leadership, it is all about considering the people.
Right now everyone is in a phase where connectivity is becoming a challenge. So building connectivity is more important for startups now, especially in terms of connecting with the people.
The main thing is ‘Can we open it up!’ All of us are thinking that I have my own problem, can I come out of that problem, by interacting with people. These interactions can give us some ideas. So if we open up, I think we have a lot of opportunities opened up in front of us, it is all about how can we leverage it so that it benefits us.
